Introducing the #LeChampFace Competition Winner, 21 year old Monepha chin! The Le Champ Face Competition was done to seek a #WomanOfColour who would become a visible representation of the Le Champ Cosmetics brand. It was held for 3 days via Instagram and over 300 beautiful individuals across the 14 parishes of Jamaica entered in the hopes of being selected. Ultimately, Monepha embodies what the true look and feel of the brand demands and stood out among the others and so the rest is history!
Originally from Linstead, St. Catherine Jamaica, Monepha is an aspiring model who loves to dance, watch television, go to parties, hang with friends and family and is her true self when on set at photoshoots.
Her modeling experience began in 2017 when met photographer Orville Spence and did her first professional photoshoot.
Since then she has been featured in the Jamaica Observer, L.Vision Magazine and even did Runway Training at Pulse Modeling Agency.
In June of this year she got international recognition from world renowned modeling industry tycoon and mentor Tyra Banks who posted Monepha’s image on her personal Instagram page and commented
“Monepha you are beautiful. We need beauties like you now more than ever to show the world the power of our diverse beauty. Thank you for being that light ”. This recognition from her lifelong mentor naturally made her feel even more motivated to become successful in her modeling career.
“I am a very hard working person and I’m willing to go after everything I want and never give up. The road may be hard at times but I still try.” ~ Monepha Chin when asked her perspective on life.
“To win the ‘Le Champ Face’ competition meant a lot to me. I didn’t know that I would win! Luckily my friend sent me the post on Instagram and I entered a few hours before the deadline!
I told myself I wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass me so on the day of the Le Champ Cosmetics Vegan Pressed Powder Photoshoot I got dressed as fast as I could to get to the location. Traveling was a nerve rocking experience until I met the boss Shanique (smile) she has a great personality and I feel at home with working with her because I have been battling a lot of personal issues especially my anxiety and depression problems but I am not going to let that stop me from going after everything I want. I just pray and keep going no matter how tired I am feeling or sick I keep going with God!
On the day of the shoot I met a lot of great people on set.
I hope that I get to work with the brand Le Champ Cosmetics very a very long time because it’s such a great brand and I love the products and everything that comes with it!

As a winner of the competition, Monepha receives Le Champ Cosmetics makeup products, be featured on Le Champ Cosmetics makeup tutorials, do period photoshoots for the Le Champ Cosmetics brand to build her modeling portfolio, be invited to all exclusive insider events associated with the brand and ultimate represent the Le Champ Cosmetics brand at business related activities.
